Birthday on film

As I sit here bundled in an unattractive combination of layers, practically on top of our space heater, I'm transported back to this beautiful day at Carlson Orchards in Harvard, MA. It seems like an absolute age since we celebrated the advent of my fourth decade, apple picking in the sunshine, snacking on honey straws, driving home with the windows down and the back seat of the rental car laden with autumnal produce. Becoming thirty turned out not to be so bad.
